The Legal Reform Project in Serbia
The Legal Reform Project is assisting to improve the legal and institutional framework for a strong Rule of Law and sound economic growth in Serbia, thus paving the way for Serbia’s accession to the European Union. Its three components reflect the three major challenges to Serbian legal reforms.
Legislative Process
An efficient, transparent and participative legislative process is a precondition for good laws and regulations. Our aim is to improve this process – from the idea of a law to an analysis of its results.
Implementation of Laws
The best law is of no use if competent institutions do not implement it. Our task is to support the Serbian judiciary, the public administration and legal professionals in applying the reformed laws.
Popularization of Laws
The Serbian general public and business community must know their rights and obligations to act accordingly. Our objective is to remove barriers and open channels for a free flow of information from the lawmaker to the law user.
